This roundtable discussion features Arnold Tucker, Chairman of the Western Washington Taxpayer’s Committee on Higher Education, Valerie Winslow, a reporter for The Daily Olympian, and Dean Clabaugh, Evergreen’s first Executive Director. The discussion reveals the difficulty that the legislature and community had in understanding Evergreen’s pedagogy and structure, particularly the narrative evaluation procedure and admissions policies and the college mascot, the geoduck clam.

Original Format: 3/4″ video
(1978) Length 11:09
Produced by Media Services

This series, simply entitled “Meet Education” was recorded at the old Evergreen TV studios as a response to the Washington State budget cuts in the late 70’s and…

[6
