Within those greenspaces lies a need to bring awareness to the public regarding the beneficial uses of native plants, pollinator friendly gardens, food forests, reduction of mowed and irrigated lawns, planting and landscaping for wildlife diversity and sustainability, attracting and creating habitat for wildlife and birds, increasing tree canopy, and the use of ethical and harmless alternatives to pesticides within residents\u2019 yards and communities.
