In the original version, the boundary condition should only have been y(1) = 0, and it would have been fine; in retrospect, that is what I should have done on the exam. In the corrected version I updated during the exam, there&#8217;s also a problem with the boundary conditions; I had meant to correct it to look just like the version on the practice exam but failed to do so.
