It has been another difficult year for much of humanity, nationally and globally but let us not forget about the importance of our friendship and your friendship with others. <\/p>\n<p>Rather than writing you individually, I am writing you a collective letter.<\/p>\n<p>A big change in my life is that I have stopped teaching political economy at The Evergreen State College (TESC).  I taught at TESC for 34 years and truly enjoyed it and put my heart and mind into it. I am worried about the future of Evergreen, both the declining enrollment and the attempt to mainstream it.
