You have been such an important and positive influence in my life for the 50 years that I have known you, and for so many others around the world.  We met when I was a student in the  \u201cIntellectuals and Social Change class at MIT\u201d in spring 1968 that you co-taught with Louis Kampf. In this class of more than 200 people, I was also very fortunate to also be in the section of maybe 12 students that met with you once a week.
