Larry Roper is a Professor of School of Language, Culture and Society and Coordinator of the Social Justice Minor in the College of Liberal Arts at Oregon State University.\u00a0 Larry also serves as Program Lead for the College Student Services Administration program, which prepares students at the Masters level to work in the student services arena. Previously, he served Oregon State University as Vice Provost for Student Affairs from 1995-2014. He also served for 18 months as Interim Dean of the College of Liberal Arts at OSU.\u00a0He has held numerous positions in student affairs throughout the U.S.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Larry currently serves as a Commissioner with the State of Oregon\u2019s Higher Education Coordinating Commission and as a Board of Trustee member for Heidelberg University, his alma mater.\u00a0\u00a0He served a 6-year term as a Commissioner with the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities.\u00a0 Additionally, he served locally as President of the Board of Jackson Street Youth Services, which serves homeless and vulnerable youth; President of United Way, on the Board of Community Outreach, Inc, and the OSU Credit Union Board.<\/p>\n
Larry has more than 60 publications in the form of book chapters, journal articles, magazine articles, book reviews and monographs.\u00a0 He is co-editor of the forthcoming monograph, Centering Dialogue in Leadership Development<\/u>\u00a0(in press).
