My name is Sky Harper (Udall \u201822) and I am the current Senior National Student Representative for the American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES).\u00a0<\/p>\n
I was awarded a grant to lead a youth service project and I decided to create an introduction to research program for Indigenous youth.<\/p>\n
This program is intended for high school students and early undergraduates, along with a call for mentors (upper level undergraduates and post-baccalaureates with research experience).<\/p>\n
I would appreciate it greatly if y’all could share through your networks! This is a completely virtual program and all participants will receive a stipend, a laptop, and the opportunity to co-author a peer-reviewed article. We also have a couple Indigenous academic faculty who will be serving as PIs for the review, with the majority of the program being mentor run (peer mentors).<\/p>\n
