Please distribute this announcement widely to anyone who may be interested in this scholarship.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Washington Student Achievement Council (WSAC) will accept signed and completed applications that are postmarked by <strong><em>March 3, 2025. <\/em><\/strong>Applications must be accompanied with all required attachments.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">To download the application and instruction materials, go to <a href=\"https:\/\/nam02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com\/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwsac.wa.gov%2Famerican-indian-endowed-scholarship&amp;data=05%7C02%7CJacob.T.Adams%40evergreen.edu%7C22d17d5bb50747cc374a08dd1dfd574d%7C22adcff7c06f49a68f2050711c40ddaa%7C0%7C0%7C638699696111110435%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJFbXB0eU1hcGkiOnRydWUsIlYiOiIwLjAuMDAwMCIsIlAiOiJXaW4zMiIsIkFOIjoiTWFpbCIsIldUIjoyfQ%3D%3D%7C0%7C%7C%7C&amp;sdata=pV3DqWQ8yhOrLjzd0%2F4KNuXC8OLEXPn2hryZ9FGjb%2Fw%3D&amp;reserved=0\" data-outlook-id=\"0b0d6abe-c611-4287-ab92-8f5e45148bdf\">https:\/\/wsac.wa.gov\/american-indian-endowed-scholarship<\/a>, and click \u201cHow do I apply?\u201d \u00a0(download requires Adobe Acrobat Reader, Version 11.0 or newer)<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">To be eligible, an applicant must:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400\">\n<li>Have close social and cultural ties to an American Indian tribe or community in Washington state<\/li>\n<li>Intend to use his or her education to benefit the American Indian community in this state<\/li>\n<li>Be enrolled full-time for 2025-26, beginning fall term, at a participating college or university in-state<\/li>\n<li>Have demonstrated financial need (as determined by the college financial aid office, per FAFSA)<\/li>\n<li>Be a Washington state resident<\/li>\n<li>Have not received a total of five years of this scholarship<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">There is a priority for upper-division and graduate-level students, however, all qualified applicants are considered. <strong>IMPORTANT:<\/strong> Late or incomplete applications will not be reviewed by the selection committee.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">A selection committee composed of representatives from the American Indian community in-state will review and score the applications. The number of scholarships and amounts awarded are based on an evaluation of the interest earnings available in the endowment. Scholarships generally range between $500 to $2,000 each for the academic year.
