Join us for the annual event honoring our crucial Farmworkers and José Gómez, a faculty member who was a life-long activist for farmworker justice, LGBTQ+ justice and labor organizing. Starting at 11 a.m. in the Evans Hall Lobby with a panel of speakers from Familias Unidas Por La Justicia Community to Community Development. Followed with food and music in the afternoon in Evans 4300.
Held in collaboration with the Center for Community-Based Learning and Action (CCBLA) and the student group La Familia, who aims to uplift and center Latinx voices and Latinx issues through student solidarity. Additional support and sponorship from the Center for Climate Action and Sustainability (CCAS), Clean Energy Committee (CEC), Equity and Belonging Grant, Academic Programs, and the Dean’s Match.
