Hi everyone,
We’re recruiting students for Cultivating Voice, the Writing Center’s two-credit writing tutor training class this spring. It’s been a real joy to get to work closer with and learn from you and your students this year, and I know you have a strong group of writers! I’m hoping you can help me spread the word about this opportunity to your students. And if you have any recommendations for specific students who you think would be a good fit, feel free to send them my way.
For students who are interested but not able to come to the Olympia campus or simply can’t make this class fit with their schedule, I’m flexible and open to asynchronous or other methods of training. If students are interested in becoming writing tutors but are hesitant about the class, please let them know they should talk to me and we will figure something out.
The class now requires faculty signature, and I just ask that students talk with me about their academic/creative writing experience and courses at Evergreen so far.
I attached our flyer here. Let me know if you have any questions or students to recommend. Thank you for collaborating with us and keeping the Writing Center going strong!
Best,
