Topics covered spanned biogeography, evolutionary biology, vertebrate ethology, population dynamics and conservation of Florida&#8217;s unique vegetation communities. Present were Professors Longino and Styring, Eric, Kim and I (Brendon). Some of the Ornithological cases we discussed were the Florida Scrub Jay&#8217;s semi-social juvenile brood-raising assistance, the natural history of Shrikes (Laniidae), and the anatomy of the Thrush family (Turdidae syn.
