In my previous post I wrote about a survey that I made and handed out while interviewing people in downtown New Orleans. Here is what it looked like:<\/p>\n

After reviewing all of the surveys I collected, here are my findings:<\/p>\n

Demographic Statistics:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • 25% were between ages 40-59<\/li>\n
  • 44% between 20-39 yrs old<\/li>\n
  • 13% under 20 yrs old<\/li>\n
  • 60% were male<\/li>\n
  • 40% were female<\/li>\n
  • 75% were white<\/li>\n
  • 25% were black<\/li>\n
  • 25% were New Orleans Natives<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Statistics based on Likert scale responses:<\/p>\n

      \n
    • 100% said they were interested in Art.<\/li>\n
    • 94% said they were interested in Music.<\/li>\n
    • 50% said they perform music professionally.<\/li>\n
    • 75% said they play an instrument.<\/li>\n
    • 44% said that New Orleans’ Music scene was a major factor that brought there.<\/li>\n
    • 44% said that they came to New Orleans before Hurricane Katrina.<\/li>\n
    • 25% said that they believe Katrina Changed music in New Orleans.<\/li>\n
    • 19% said that they believe Katrina had a negative impact on New Orleans.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
