This year, the general discussion revolved around the question, \u201cWhat new innovations will drive public service in the future?\u201d The institute occurred August 2, 2019.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Over 20 stakeholders, alumni, and current students shared their perspectives in small groups while faculty and staff facilitators took notes. Questions asked in smaller groups were \u201cHow do we adapt to innovation?\u201d \u201cWhat challenges do we as a society need to overcome to provide optimal public services to the public\u201d and \u201cHow can we better prepare our students for careers in government and nonprofits?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">At the end of the institute, participants had the opportunity to report back to the group and share greater insights and takeaways from the afternoon.
