After founding <a href=\"https:\/\/www.leadershipfoundations.org\/proyecto-mole\/\">Proyecto MoLE<\/a> 14 years ago, Melody has led a program that promotes positive self-development, increases post-secondary education or professional career paths, and develops young Latinos as catalysts for change. Melody\u2019s impact on our community is tremendous as she has dedicated over 25 years to mentoring our community\u2019s next generation of leaders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mentoring.org\/blog\/national-mentoring-summit\/proudly-announcing-the-2021-excellence-in-mentoring-award-winners\/?utm_medium=email&amp;utm_campaign=Summit%20EIM%20Announcement%20-%2011421&amp;utm_content=Summit%20EIM%20Announcement%20-%2011421+CID_d21200c114c0ed4cdcc98c687a01c50b&amp;utm_source=CampaignMonitor%20Email&amp;utm_term=Learn%20More\">MENTOR recently recognized Melody with the 2021 Lifetime Achievement Award for Excellence in Mentoring<\/a>, which is given to an individual who has dedicated their life\u2019s work to supporting youth through mentoring programs. By working to \u201cclose the mentoring gap and drive equity through quality mentoring relationships for young people,\u201d MENTOR has been a leader in and advocate for the youth mentoring effort for 30 years.
