Amy Gould, Ph.D, Member of the MPA Faculty completed her fellowship with the the University of Central Florida this academic year in their Doctoral Program in Public Affairs in the College of Community Innovation and Education. She served on the dissertation committee for Ph.D. candidate Esteban Santis. His topic title was Postcolonial Public Administration: A Critical Discourse Analysis.

Here is an excerpt from his acknowledgements page: “Finally, in the spring of 2019, while preparing a literature review about postcolonialism in public administration, I found Dr. Gould, one of the few scholars who has written about colonial discourse in the field. In time, I reached out to Dr. Gould, shared the preliminary parameters of my dissertation, and asked if they would be willing to be part of my committee. To my benefit, Dr. Gould agreed and, since then, has helped me make critical adjustments and strengthen this project.”
