    This webinar is a follow up and update to \u201cDriven to Extinction,” our 2023 webinar on tire chemicals and salmon. We\u2019ll take a look at:<\/p>\n

    • what it means for the Columbia River, and\u00a0<\/li>\n
    • a case study from Beaver Creek (a tributary stream in Gresham, OR), where student-collected data are providing important insights into coho salmon mortality and the potential role tire chemicals may play right here in the Columbia River Basin.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Webinar Speakers:<\/p>\n

      Roy Iwai <\/strong>manages the Multnomah County Transportation Division’s Water Quality Program. He leads several local and regional partnerships around water quality and outreach, and serves as the chair of the Oregon 6PPD-quinone Working Group.<\/p>\n

      Todd Hanna<\/strong> has been working in fisheries for 40 years, including teaching fisheries courses and serving as program director and as a faculty advisor in the Fisheries Technology program at Mt. Hood Community College (MHCC) for the past 28 years.<\/p>\n

      Katie Holzer<\/strong> is a Watershed Scientist with the City of Gresham where she conducts studies of stormwater pollution and how to mitigate it.
