Duties include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide field supervision to crew members<\/li>\n<li>Serve as project manager<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for the coordination and implementation of vegetation management projects<\/li>\n<li>Deliver training as needed<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate the safe work environment of crew members<\/li>\n<li>Assign daily duties and monitor the progress of crew members<\/li>\n<li>Maintain inventory and perform maintenance and repair of all equipment and tools<\/li>\n<li>Act as point of contact between crew members and the Forestry Technician 5<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Minimum Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>At least 18 years old<\/li>\n<li>Valid driver\u2019s license<\/li>\n<li>High school diploma or equivalent<\/li>\n<li>At least 6 months of experience as a fuels crew member or similar position<\/li>\n<li>Ability to pass Work Capacity Test at the Arduous Level within 3 months of hire<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Highly Desirable Qualifications:<\/strong> Forestry or natural resources education and\/or related experience. Experience acting in a supervisory role. Wildland fire ecology, use, and management experience and education, including understanding wildland fuel loading, wildland fire effects, and wildland fire monitoring. Other desirable qualifications include wildland firefighting experience, EMT, S-130, S-131, S-190, L-180, S-211, S-212, S-215, S-230, S-219, and S-290.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Physical Requirements: <\/strong>This position requires frequent lifting and\/or moving of heavy objects. Strength, stamina, and agility are necessary to hike steep, uneven terrain while carrying equipment.
