This position partners closely with the\u00a0President\u00a0to strengthen relationships with donors, community leaders, public officials, and strategic partners, and ensures support for the Board of Trustees.\u00a0This role requires sound judgment, strong relationship management skills,\u00a0the ability to\u00a0operate\u00a0with discretion,\u00a0and an understanding of nonprofit environments, including fundraising priorities and governance responsibilities.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Executive Support &amp; External Engagement<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Manage and prioritize the President\u2019s calendar with a focus on donor cultivation and stewardship, external stakeholders, and strategic\u00a0partnerships.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate\u00a0logistics\u00a0for external meetings, fundraising events, speaking engagements, and community initiatives involving the President.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Prepare high-quality briefing materials\u00a0including donor profiles, funding histories, talking points, and strategic context.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Serve as a key point of contact for scheduling and coordinating meetings with donors, foundation partners, community organizations, and public sector stakeholders.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Track President donor engagement and external relationship activity in coordination with VLT\u2019s development team.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Support planning and execution of fundraising and visibility events, including donor receptions, campaigns, and public events.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Ensure\u00a0timely\u00a0follow-up on commitments to stakeholders, funders, and partners.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Board of Trustees Support<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Coordinate Board and committee meetings\u00a0including supporting scheduling,\u00a0materials, and\u00a0logistics.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Manage Board communications\u00a0including meeting reminders, updates, and materials distribution, and\u00a0maintain\u00a0the Board SharePoint site as the hub of information.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Support Trustee engagement\u00a0including onboarding, orientation, and ongoing relationship management.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Assist the Corporate Secretary in recording and\u00a0maintaining\u00a0official Board minutes and governance records and other Board documentation (rosters, bylaws, policies,\u00a0and\u00a0committee assignments).\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Fundraising Support<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-leveltext=\"\uf0b7\" data-font=\"Symbol\" data-listid=\"13\" data-list-defn-props=\"{\" data-aria-posinset=\"1\" data-aria-level=\"1\">Facilitate coordination between the President, development team, and program leadership to align external engagement with organizational priorities.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li data-leveltext=\"\uf0b7\" data-font=\"Symbol\" data-listid=\"13\" data-list-defn-props=\"{\" data-aria-posinset=\"2\" data-aria-level=\"1\">Conduct donor research using VLT\u2019s CRM and external resources to ensure the President is well prepared for meetings and engagements.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li data-leveltext=\"\uf0b7\" data-font=\"Symbol\" data-listid=\"13\" data-list-defn-props=\"{\" data-aria-posinset=\"3\" data-aria-level=\"1\">Assist\u00a0in tracking fundraising goals, donor interactions, and President involvement in development activities.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li data-leveltext=\"\uf0b7\" data-font=\"Symbol\" data-listid=\"13\" data-list-defn-props=\"{\" data-aria-posinset=\"4\" data-aria-level=\"1\">Draft and edit donor correspondence, updates, and Board communications and presentations on behalf of the President.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li data-leveltext=\"\uf0b7\" data-font=\"Symbol\" data-listid=\"13\" data-list-defn-props=\"{\" data-aria-posinset=\"5\" data-aria-level=\"1\">Support special initiatives led by the President.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Administrative &amp; Operational Excellence<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Coordinate travel and itineraries related to donor visits, conferences, and other external engagements.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Maintain organized systems for tracking communications, Board materials, and external engagement activity.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Handle highly confidential information with professionalism and discretion.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Identify\u00a0opportunities to improve processes and systems to enhance organizational effectiveness.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Attend staff meetings and serve on committees as requested.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Perform special projects and other duties as\u00a0required, directed,\u00a0or as the situation dictates.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>DESIRED SKILLS &amp; EXPERIENCE\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><em>Consideration will be given to candidates\u00a0demonstrating\u00a0comparable qualifications\u00a0acquired\u00a0through a different combination of education and experience than what is outlined below.<\/em>\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree or equivalent experience\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>3\u00a0&#8211;\u00a05 years of professional experience within a nonprofit, public sector, or mission-driven organization.
