The Trail Crew Member is part of a 4-5 person<br>crew assigned to various locations based on available grant funding and grant deliverable deadlines.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Trail Building and Maintenance<\/strong><br>\u25cf Perform trail maintenance on trails including brushing, lopping, tread repair using loppers, chainsaws, McLeods, pulaskis, pick mattocks and shovels.<br>\u25cf Construct drainage structures and retaining walls using dry stone masonry<br>\u25cf Construct new trails using sustainable trail techniques<br>\u25cf Completes trail work in a timely and efficient manner<br>\u25cf Follows established protocol to ensure that project work quality remains consistent and meets SBTS standards<br>\u25cf Maintain tools and equipment in accordance with established procedures<br>\u25cf Adhere to field safety protocols to ensure safety of self and others<br>\u25cf Follows all employee and safety handbook guidelines<\/p>\n<p><strong>Volunteer and Event Support<\/strong><br>\u25cf Actively engages with volunteers during trail days, epics and events to create a memorable experience<br>\u25cf Participate in set-up and clean-up for assigned events and trail days<br>\u25cf Provide event support for assigned SBTS events<\/p>\n<p>The job responsibilities listed above are not an exhaustive list and Sierra Buttes Trail Stewardship may ask for additional tasks to be performed as part of routine employment.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Essential Requirements for Employment<\/strong><br><strong>Physical Requirements<\/strong><br>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
