(REGI) is&nbsp;seeking&nbsp;a&nbsp;dependable, dedicated, and compassionate&nbsp;<strong>Avian Rehabilitation Technician<\/strong>. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in wildlife conservation and native bird rehabilitation. This position offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on&nbsp;Wisconsin\u2019s&nbsp;native wildlife through rehabilitation and public&nbsp;outreach.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>REGI is a non-profit organization dedicated to the care and rehabilitation of injured and orphaned native bird species and public education on wildlife and conservation issues. REGI provides medical treatment, food,&nbsp;housing,&nbsp;and professional care for 800-1000+ federally protected birds annually with the&nbsp;goal&nbsp;of releasing these birds back to the wild. Find more information about REGI at:&nbsp;www.raptoreducationgroup.org.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The&nbsp;successful candidate&nbsp;will receive training.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Position Title<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Avian Rehabilitation Technician<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Position Description<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Avian Rehabilitation Technician&nbsp;provides&nbsp;daily care for injured, and orphaned native birds&nbsp;through&nbsp;patient care, medical treatment&nbsp;support, facility maintenance, and&nbsp;public&nbsp;communication.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Primary duties:&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Answering calls and&nbsp;assisting&nbsp;members of the public&nbsp;regarding&nbsp;injured and orphaned wildlife&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Admitting and assessing avian patients&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Administering medications and&nbsp;assisting&nbsp;with medical treatments under supervision&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Preparing diets and feeding patients according to established protocols&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Cleaning enclosures, treatment areas, and rehabilitation facilities&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Safely&nbsp;managing&nbsp;and transporting avian patients&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Maintaining&nbsp;accurate&nbsp;patient records&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Assisting&nbsp;with the daily care and husbandry of REGI\u2019s permanent educational raptors as needed&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Supporting seasonal&nbsp;increases&nbsp;in-patient&nbsp;admissions during the spring and summer&nbsp;months.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This is a full-time, permanent position at REGI\u2019s facility&nbsp;in&nbsp;Antigo, Wisconsin.&nbsp;The typical schedule is&nbsp;<strong>8:00 a.m.&nbsp;to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday<\/strong>, with rotating weekend and holiday&nbsp;duties.&nbsp;Extended&nbsp;hours&nbsp;required&nbsp;during the busy spring and summer rehabilitation season.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Preferred qualifications include:&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree in biology, wildlife ecology, wildlife rehabilitation, zoology, captive wildlife management, or related field;
