Experience<\/td>\n<td class=\"job-meta-value\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservationjobboard.com\/experience\/mid\">2 &#8211; 4 years<\/a><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"job-frame__description_content\">\n<p><strong>Position Description<\/strong><br \/>The Communications &amp; Community Engagement Manager (CCEM) is a critical member of the Methow Valley Citizens Council (MVCC) team, working collaboratively within the organization to support, develop and execute advocacy strategies through brand, content, narrative, outreach, and membership acquisition initiatives. Overseeing a wide range of activities \u2013 including social media, content creation, email marketing and website management \u2013 the ideal candidate brings an enthusiasm for the MVCC mission, an ability to build trust and drive action through messaging, and a fluency in digital marketing.<\/p>\n<p>The CCEM is responsible for embedding advocacy across the organization through a mix of communications strategies including education, engagement, and direct action. They will work closely with the Executive Director and program staff to drive an impact-centered narrative tailored to a variety of audiences, including donors, funders and stakeholders, MVCC members, prospective members, partner organizations and the community at-large.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Engage with supporters through creative content, optimize digital platforms for advocacy, and grow the organization\u2019s influence and audience.<br \/>\u2022 Develop and execute digital media strategies across major platforms, including short-form video content and static posts; adapt advocacy, fundraising and editorial material for digital audiences.<br \/>\u2022 Manage and monitor public-facing communications channels, including social media, enewsletters, action alerts, website, and print publications.<br \/>\u2022 Collaborate with Executive Director and program staff to identify and create stories that increase engagement, awareness and interest in MVCC.<br \/>\u2022 In collaboration with key staff, plan and manage a global editorial calendar.<br \/>\u2022 Attend in-person activities and events to capture photography and video for use in social media; oversee community tabling strategy.<br \/>\u2022 Create branded presentation slides, flyers, documents, graphic assets and templates.\u00a0<br \/>\u2022 Serve as production manager for MVCC publications and brand collateral.<br \/>\u2022 Manage external creative vendors (photographers, designers, videographers, writers, etc.)<br \/>\u2022 Support MVCC with copy preparation, editing and proof-reading.<br \/>\u2022 Monitor relevant environmental news, legal notices, and accounts.<br \/>\u2022 Organize and manage creative and brand assets.<br \/>\u2022 Other duties as assigned.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Desired Qualifications, Experience, and Competencies<\/strong><br \/><em>Even if you don\u2019t meet all the qualifications, we encourage you to apply if your experience has provided <\/em><em>you with a strong understanding of environmental advocacy, organizing, or digital marketing.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Familiarity with and demonstrated passion for the mission of the Methow Valley Citizens Council<br \/>\u2022 At least 3 years\u2019 professional experience in communications, marketing, or related field<br \/>\u2022 Data-driven and metric-oriented<br \/>\u2022 Experience in digital media strategy and planning; understanding of emerging trends<br \/>\u2022 Strong story-telling and content creation skills<br \/>\u2022 Proficiency with email marketing standards and tools<br \/>\u2022 Proficiency with graphic design tools (Adobe Creative Suite)<br \/>\u2022 Experience with Content Management Systems and CRMs<br \/>\u2022 Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adhere to deadlines<br \/>\u2022 Ability to work collaboratively with staff members, partners and vendors<br \/>\u2022 Strong organizational and time-management skills<br \/>\u2022 Excellent verbal and written communication skills<br \/>\u2022 Resourceful self-starter<br \/>\u2022 Demonstrated awareness and sensitivity to the needs and concerns of individuals from diverse cultures, backgrounds, and orientations<br \/>\u2022 Experience with Google Tag Manager and Analytics a plus.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>MVCC\u2019s current technical environment includes Microsoft Office, Teams, WordPress, Trello, MailChimp and Little Green Light.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"job-frame__how-to-apply test_job_how_to_apply\"><span class=\"job-frame__how-to-apply__button\"><span class=\"job-frame__how-to-apply__button__text\">How To Apply<\/span><\/span>\n<div id=\"how-to-apply-content-275634\" class=\"job-frame__how-to-apply__content\">\n<p>Send cover letter and resume to <a href=\"mailto:rebekah@mvcitizens.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">rebekah@mvcitizens.org<\/a>specifying \u201cCommunications and Community Engagement Manager\u201d in the subject line.
