This position will assist the project biologist with research on Pacific lamprey (eels). Duties include tagging, creeling and data collection\/recording of adult lamprey in the Hood River and Fifteenmile Creek subbasins. May be required to work on the Deschutes, Warm Springs, or John Day subbasins. Working on PIT antenna arrays, juvenile lamprey density\/distribution surveys and other work assigned. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required. The successful applicant must arrive at work punctually, work in a safe manner, follow established protocols, and work well with others. Previous fisheries work desirable.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Must\u00a0be\u00a0flexible in\u00a0scheduling work &#8211;\u00a0days\u00a0(7 AM to\u00a06\u00a0PM) and nights\u00a0(8\u00a0PM\u00a0to\u00a04\u00a0AM), work perhaps some\u00a0weekends and in\u00a0all weather conditions. Must\u00a0be\u00a0physically able\u00a0to lift\u00a0and carry 5O lbs.\u00a0Agility needed as\u00a0working on uneven and slippery terrain will be\u00a0required. Submit and pass a criminal background check with Federal, Tribal and State Law Enforcement and a pre-employemnt alcohol and drug screening.
