It is in your best interest to submit materials as soon as possible.<br \/><br \/><strong>Want to join something GREAT and make a difference?<\/strong><br \/>The Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has an exciting opportunity within our Enterprise Services \u2013 Sustainable Operations Section as a\u00a0<strong data-pasted=\"true\">Construction Project Coordinator, Sustainable Operations (CPC3).<\/strong><br \/><br \/>This position will report to the Sustainable Operations Manager and will help lead efforts related to carbon emissions reductions via statewide improvements to agency facilities and infrastructure.\u00a0<br data-pasted=\"true\" \/><br \/>Through the lens of sustainability, and endorsing modern clean building standards, this position covers a broad spectrum of engineering and project management responsibilities dealing with facility electrical infrastructure, construction, and facility energy improvements and upgrades. This is a senior-level position for cost estimates, including long-range and escalation forecasts, preparing budget estimates for facilities planning related to emissions reductions, meeting clean building standards, and capital budget acquisitions.\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/dd>\n<dt>\n<h2>Duties<\/h2>\n<\/dt>\n<dd>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Direct the work of consultants and assigned project support staff; monitor the work of contractors.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Act as Project coordinator to manage facility upgrades to reduce emissions and meet clean building standards, fleet electrical infrastructure projects, and facility maintenance projects that will all help reduce the agency\u2019s overall operational emissions.<\/li>\n<li>Provide cost engineering and planning expertise on construction contract administration, scheduling, contract disputes, and long-range cost and escalation forecasting for projects within the Sustainable Operations Portfolio.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare cost estimates for carbon emissions reductions and greenhouse gas reduction-related project planning, based on planning or conceptual studies.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Prepares contract bid comparison estimates and prepares cost estimates for facility upgrades related to the Clean Buildings Act and fleet electrification for the purpose of capital budget acquisition.<\/li>\n<li>Provide professional-level insight and expertise to all Sustainable Operations projects related to construction, facilities, and facilities infrastructure.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Provide peer review on contract documents, drawings, specifications, and estimates both within the Sustainable Operations program and with the agency\u2019s larger facilities team.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/dd>\n<dt>\n<h2>Qualifications<\/h2>\n<\/dt>\n<dd>\n<p><strong>Required Qualifications:\u00a0<br \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s degree in construction management or related field AND (5) five years&#8217; verifiable construction industry experience;<br \/>OR a combination of education and\/or experience in a field connected to construction project management.<\/li>\n<li>Verifiable experience with WA state contract bid practices and familiarity with Washington&#8217;s Electronic Business Solution (WEBS) application.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in developing and organizing public works construction projects.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with Construction Cost Estimating.<\/li>\n<li>Leadership experience.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><strong data-pasted=\"true\">Required Competencies:\u00a0<\/strong><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to operate Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.<\/li>\n<li>Commitment to fostering and supporting an environment that honors diversity, equity, inclusion, and environmental justice practices.<\/li>\n<li>Perform assigned duties in a manner consistent with applicable laws, regulations, and public records retention and requests are followed.<\/li>\n<li>DNR Core Competencies:\n<ul>\n<li>Personal Accountability<\/li>\n<li>Value Others<\/li>\n<li>Compassionate Communication<\/li>\n<li>Inspire Others<\/li>\n<li>Commitment to Excellence<br \/><br \/><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<strong>Special Requirements and Conditions of Employment:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>80% office environment with 20% field work.<\/li>\n<li>Infrequent overnight and out-of-state travel may be required.<\/li>\n<li>A current, valid driver\u2019s license and two years of driving experience.
