Field Technicians will work in small crews performing native plant installation, restoration \/ natural areas maintenance, maintenance of vegetated stormwater facilities, mobile data collection, herbicide treatments, brush cutting, and a wide variety of other restoration and maintenance activities.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Required Qualifications:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to perform physical labor continually for 8-10 hours per day in a variety of job tasks, including but not limited to lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs., raking, digging, crouching, bending, standing, walking, and hiking off-trail over steep, uneven, and\/or slippery terrain\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Be willing to learn to identify native and introduced plants\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Be willing to learn and employ safe and proper use of equipment and power tools\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Have reliable transportation to pickup locations or job sites\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Desired Qualifications:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ecological restoration, landscaping, or horticulture experience\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of native and introduced plants\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Strong preference given to candidates with experience in outdoor manual labor, planting, plant identification, herbicide application, and mobile data collection\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Background in botany, ecology, or environmental science\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Commercial pesticide applicator license (agriculture-herbicide, ornamental &amp; turf-herbicide, and\/or aquatic-pesticide categories)\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Starting wage is $20.00\/hr.
