This role would be excellent for a developing leader with a strong sense of organization, commitment to clear communication, and ability to work independently. Like their field teams, this person will need to lean into important conversations and have a passion for conservation.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>WHO WE ARE\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Montana Conservation Voters is a nonpartisan, nonprofit 501(c)4 membership organization whose mission is to protect our clean air, clean water, public lands, and democracy by supporting leaders who fight for conservation and by holding accountable leaders who do not. The MCV Action Fund is an independent state political action committee (PAC) that supports pro-conservation candidates fighting for these issues.<\/p>\n<p><strong>JOB DESCRIPTION: FIELD COORDINATOR<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>MCV\u2019s Field Coordinator must be a highly organized, entrepreneurial, and engaging leader. Job duties include, but are not limited to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>With support from Regional Organizers, manage field teams composed of 3+ canvassers in Billings, Bozeman, and other Montana locations<\/li>\n<li>Implement field tactics to effectively mobilize support for candidates, initiatives, and programs including but not limited to door-to-door canvassing, phone calls, mail, radio, digital organizing tools, texting, emails, and public events<\/li>\n<li>Play a key role in field team hiring efforts including but not limited to screening applicants, serving on interview panels, and performing reference checks<\/li>\n<li>Guide remote field team members through onboarding, training, and offboarding, as well as provide reliable communication and direction throughout their tenure<\/li>\n<li>Work closely with the Political Director to develop content for campaign messaging and implement diverse engagement strategies that support the MCV Action Fund\u2019s independent expenditure program<\/li>\n<li>Manage field data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance<\/li>\n<li>Assist with regular, metric-driven analysis and evaluation of field work<\/li>\n<li>Monitor field team expenses and timekeeping to stay within budget and capture all information necessary for political and financial compliance<\/li>\n<li>Frequent travel to connect directly with field teams as needed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A strong commitment to MCV\u2019s mission and goals<\/li>\n<li>Clear verbal, written, and interpersonal skills among team members and the public<\/li>\n<li>At least two years of management experience, with a preference for managing organizing and\/or canvassing teams<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated ability to work independently, set and meet metric-driven goals, and problem solve<\/li>\n<li>Ability to learn, share, and then train team members to deliver important information with excellent attention to detail, context, and storytelling<\/li>\n<li>Ability to use or learn to use the Voter Activation Network<\/li>\n<li>Impeccable attention to detail necessary for reviewing documentation and expenses pertaining to election-cycle administration compliance<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated professionalism and dependability<\/li>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree in political science, public administration, business administration, or related degree preferred<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>There is slight preference for someone based in Missoula, Helena, Billings, or Bozeman, but we are willing to consider other Montana locations for the right candidate.<\/p>\n<p>Recruiting staff who better reflect Montana is a priority and we encourage applicants from all cultures, races, ethnicities, genders, geographies, and all other identities.<\/p>\n<p><strong>COMPENSATION &amp; BENEFITS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>MCV offers a competitive hourly wage of $27 per hour with bonus opportunities.
