The program\u2019s goal is to cultivate the next generation of marine and coastal science and policy leaders who are representative of the full spectrum of Washington state communities. Open to all students who wish to pursue careers in marine science and policy.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>This <b>one-year<\/b> paid fellowship is open to all highly motivated and qualified early-career professionals who share a dedication to these goals.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Fellows are matched with host organizations including state and local governments, tribes, nonprofits, and maritime industries, where they focus on projects addressing pressing coastal and marine issues.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Fellows gain valuable experience, training, and mentorship while working on impactful science, policy, and industry-related projects.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>WSG fellowship programs do not consider personal identity factors in evaluation or selection. At the same time, we recognize that historic barriers have limited access for many communities.
