Duties include leading interpretive and environmental education programs; staffing special events, local festivals, and trailhead displays; coordinating the Nature Detectives program; and assisting with volunteer center tasks.<\/p>\n<p>This is an\u00a0hourly, non-benefited\u00a0position\u00a0with an anticipated end date of October 24th\u00a0that will work 40 hours per week,\u00a0Tuesday &#8211; Saturday\u00a08:00am &#8211; 4:30pm\u00a0with\u00a0potential hours outside of the typical schedule due to special events, projects, or trainings. This position will work out of\u00a03897 N 75th St., Boulder, Colorado. Under Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) guidelines, this position is\u00a0non-exempt\u00a0(eligible for overtime).<\/p>\n<p>Boulder County requires its employees to reside in the state of Colorado as of the first day of work.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hiring Salary Range:<\/strong> $25.00 &#8211; $28.00\u00a0Hourly\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tentative Hiring Timeline:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Phone Screening: Week of April 13th<\/li>\n<li>First Round Interviews: Week of April 20th<\/li>\n<li>Reference Check: Week of April 20th<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Boulder County employees may qualify for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF). Visit <a href=\"https:\/\/studentaid.gov\/manage-loans\/forgiveness-cancellation\/public-service\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" data-pasted=\"true\" data-uw-rm-brl=\"PR\" data-uw-original-href=\"https:\/\/studentaid.gov\/manage-loans\/forgiveness-cancellation\/public-service\" data-uw-rm-ext-link=\"\">studentaid.gov<\/a>\u00a0for more information.Examples of Duties<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Interpretive and Educational Programs:\n<ul>\n<li>Work closely with volunteer naturalists to develop and present interpretive programs for the public and requesting groups, including guided hikes, shelter talks, and indoor presentations<\/li>\n<li>Support leading environmental education programs for schools, both in the classroom and out in the parks, as part of a field trip, and occasionally act as a site coordinator for field trip programs<\/li>\n<li>Support staff with program coordination, programming calendar creation, and communication with schools, volunteers, and other requesting partners<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Volunteer Center Tasks:\n<ul>\n<li>Create, repair, and maintain interpretive props and supplies; track inventory of interpretive props and supplies<\/li>\n<li>Occasionally create displays for festival booths and special events<\/li>\n<li>Data entry and database management of the DISCOVER volunteer platform;
