We envision an equitable world where we are all nourished by healthy relationships, resilient community, and good food.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Our work lives at the intersection of food, education, and health systems. Each year, we directly engage approximately 1500 Thurston County residents of all ages in relationships-based programming centered on growing and preparing good food. We primarily work with young people, families with low incomes, students, seniors experiencing hunger, tribal communities, and veterans, active duty service members, and their families. Visit\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.goodgrub.org\/\" data-uw-rm-brl=\"PR\" data-uw-original-href=\"http:\/\/www.goodgrub.org\">goodgrub.org<\/a>\u00a0for more information.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Position Overview<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Outreach and Office Coordinator furthers GRuB\u2019s outreach, communications, volunteer, and office coordination in service to our mission. The Coordinator will support the production and distribution of promotional and educational materials across social media (Facebook, Instagram, organizational website) and through our website and monthly e-News. The Coordinator can expect to work within style standards and content parameters provided by the Outreach Team.\u00a0 They will be responsible for entries into our databases, and for support for office functions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This is an entry-level position for someone eager to develop their job skills and their resume. Our ideal candidate would possess a passion for GRuB\u2019s mission and programs, an eagerness to engage others in our work, and a desire to learn new skills. Good writing and editing skills, problem-solving skills, and communication skills are required. Graphic design skills and experience managing social media accounts are desirable. Experience with Canva,\u00a0 MailChimp, Instagram, Facebook, video editing for social media, database entry,\u00a0 Google Workspace, and Volgistics is preferred. Past office experience with excellent customer service skills is preferred.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Position Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Outreach Coordination: \u00a012-15 hrs\/week<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul role=\"list\">\n<li>Coordinate electronic newsletters, social media, and website content for timely updates in alignment with organizational priorities\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate GRuB\u2019s tabling and presentation calendar, and materials<\/li>\n<li>Create content for internally generated fliers, and serve as part of the team for larger projects (annual report, fall appeal, videos and more)\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Serve on fundraising and event campaign teams to organize outreach and volunteers<\/li>\n<li>Serve in hospitality and reception roles to create a warm welcome for the public, and help people connect with GRuB staff and programs in a timely manner.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Work on special projects (\u201825-\u201926:\u00a0 stories for 25th birthday celebrations)\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Volunteer Coordination 6-10 hrs\/week<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul role=\"list\">\n<li>Support volunteer recruitment, onboarding, orientation, and appreciation, including connecting volunteers with staff, and working with staff to keep volunteer opportunities up to date<\/li>\n<li>Review and respond to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:volunteer@goodgrub.org\">volunteer@goodgrub.org<\/a>\u00a0emails daily, and review and process volunteer applications\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Prepare volunteer sign-in sheets, waivers, photo release and ensure volunteer information (including hours &amp; special interest) is captured in Volgistics platform<\/li>\n<li>Serve as the lead volunteer contact for significant GRuB events\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>As time allows, support volunteer work sessions on the land\/farm<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Hospitality, Reception and Office Stewardship\u00a0 6-10 hrs\/week<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul role=\"list\">\n<li>Answer phones, greet visitors, and monitor organization-wide email\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Open mail and record\u00a0 income in our CRM Database<\/li>\n<li>Additional duties as needed by operations staff, such as managing office inventory, filling orders for our online store, and project-based work\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Organizational Stewardship\u00a02-4 hrs\/week<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Uphold all-staff expectations<\/li>\n<li>Participate in site stewardship including house cleaning chores and some farm work<\/li>\n<li>Participate in \u201cAll Hands on Deck\u201d staff events, such as major events and outreach events<\/li>\n<li>Participate in staff development and equity work, as schedule permits<\/li>\n<li>Support programs and initiatives across the organization, as needed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Physical Demands and Working Conditions<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The majority of the work is performed in an open office setting, with computer work for extended periods. Event and program support may require periods of physical activity involving standing, walking, bending, and moderate lifting up to 25 pounds, including time outdoors on our farm and programming sites.
