This individual must be motivated to deliver innovative capabilities that directly impact some of GDIT\u2019s most complex government, defense, and intelligence projects across the country.\u202f\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><b>A Day in the Life<\/b>\u202f\u202f\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Performs administrative duties in support of a department or customer. Works on a short-term, seasonal basis.<\/li>\n<li>Performs research, analysis, development, and evaluation of systems, procedures, and data in assigned functional area<\/li>\n<li>Work remote with a team of professional spread across the United States.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct research in a wide variety of policy and coverage areas to assess potential risk and opportunities in federal programs.<\/li>\n<li>Work with team to assess risk, develop mitigation strategies, and document and present findings to customer.<\/li>\n<li>Synthesize complex policy and regulatory guidance to develop recommendations, both written and verbal, to present to senior leadership.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>The Must-Haves<\/b>\u202f\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Education: Candidate should be pursuing a degree in International Affairs or Public Policy at the Bachelor&#8217;s, Master&#8217;s or Phd level.<\/li>\n<li>Required Technical Skills: Proficient in computer skills, e.g. Microsoft Office &#8211; Word and Excel.<br \/><br \/><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>What Will Make You a Stand-Out Candidate<\/b>\u202f\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Interest in public policy and global relations<\/li>\n<li>Ability and interest in synthesizing information and data<\/li>\n<li>Basic knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in scientific functional area(s)<\/li>\n<li>Basic knowledge of the related equipment and systems used in scientific functional area(s)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>GDIT interns are paid and full-time (40 hours\/week) for 10 consecutive weeks. Paid leave and paid holidays are prorated based on the employee\u2019s date of hire. The GDIT Paid Family Leave program provides a total of up to 160 hours of paid leave in a rolling 12 month period for eligible employees.
