First review of applications on September 23, 2025.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.midsoundfisheries.org\/events\/job\/\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>Position Description<\/strong><\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>To Apply:\u00a0<\/strong> send a letter of introduction and your resume to: antonia@midsoundfisheries.org\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h3>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>2 years relevant work experience in education, environmental science, communications, landowner\/partner outreach, or salmon habitat restoration;<\/li>\n<li>Flexibility, creativity, and an eagerness to learn and grow while working on a variety of education projects;<\/li>\n<li>Ability to collaborate with a diverse array of people including students, teachers, project partners, community members, and volunteers;\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Strong interpersonal, public, and written communication skills, with an ability to quickly build relationships whether in person, by phone, or through email correspondence;\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Organized, self-motivated, and able to prioritize effectively to handle multiple program needs and deadlines;\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Comfortable using Google systems, Microsoft Office programs, social media, video conferencing, and graphic design platforms, or a willingness to learn;\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Access to a personal vehicle and ability to travel within King county for work (reimbursed for mileage at the current WA State rate).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h3>SALMON IN SCHOOLS PROGRAM COORDINATION AND IMPLEMENTATION<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Coordinate with teachers regarding participation, schedule, and planning for Salmon in Schools.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Schedule in-class instruction, provided by a combination of this position and other Mid Sound staff.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate tank needs and set up.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Secure WDFW permits.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate and participate in delivery of eggs to school tanks.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Provide resources to teachers and schools for proper tank maintenance.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Recruit and organize volunteers and\/or staff to support schools in tank maintenance.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Support schools in transportation needs for field trips.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate and lead spring field trips for schools to release fish.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Plan and coordinate program evaluations with teachers; support implementation.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Evaluate success of in-class lessons and iteratively improve them over time.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate tank cleaning and storage at the end of the program.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Grant reporting.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h3>MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL STEWARDSHIP COORDINATION AND IMPLEMENTATION\u00a0<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Be the point of contact for middle and high school teachers who want to engage their classes in stewardship activities.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate with teachers regarding participation and schedule for stewardship field trips.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Work with Mid Sound Stewardship staff to schedule field trips.<\/li>\n<li>Provide outdoor education lessons during field trips.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Support schools in transportation needs for field trips.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Plan and coordinate program evaluations with teachers;
