About the Role<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Adams County Integrated Health Care Services is seeking an Environmental Health Specialist. This role involves applying environmental public health and safety principles within a regulatory environment. You will provide professional oversight for various programs such as:<\/p>\n

  • Food Safety<\/li>\n
  • Drinking Water<\/li>\n
  • Wastewater Management<\/li>\n
  • Land Use and Development<\/li>\n
  • School Health and Safety<\/li>\n
  • Solid Waste<\/li>\n
  • Site Hazard Assessment<\/li>\n
  • Chemical and Physical Hazards<\/li>\n
  • Living Environment<\/li>\n
  • Public Health Emergency Planning and Response<\/li>\n
  • Epidemiology<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Your work will include surveillance enforcement of mandated health and sanitary regulations as well as public education in these areas.<\/p>\n

    What You’ll Do<\/strong><\/h3>\n

    As an Environmental Health Specialist, you will:<\/p>\n

      \n
    • Conduct inspections, assessments, and educational outreach in various environmental health areas.<\/li>\n
    • Enforce health and sanitary regulations.<\/li>\n
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulations.<\/li>\n
    • Respond to public health emergencies as needed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Qualifications You’ll Bring<\/strong><\/h3>\n
        \n
      • Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Health-related fields such as Earth Science, Food Science, Biology, Zoology, or a closely related discipline.<\/li>\n
      • Ability to obtain Washington State Registration as a Sanitarian within two years of hire.<\/li>\n
      • Valid driver\u2019s license.<\/li>\n
      • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.<\/li>\n
      • Bilingual Spanish skills are highly desirable. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
