Participants will assist with daily operations, deliver curriculum-based programs to school groups, and help plan and implement special events. They will engage the public through community outreach and provide visitor services at the visitor center, sharing information about recreational opportunities and park resources. Cross-training opportunities with other park divisions offer exposure to multiple aspects of the National Park Service mission. Glen Canyon National Recreation Area spans nearly 1.25 million acres across northern Arizona and southern Utah. The area is centered around\u00a0<strong class=\"ignore-global-css\">Lake Powell<\/strong>, a 186-mile-long reservoir created by the Glen Canyon Dam on the Colorado River. The park offers a wide variety of recreational opportunities, including boating, fishing, hiking, camping, and scenic photography.
