Our small regionally dispersed offices allow us to provide individualized services, and our large overall size allows us to coordinate teams of foresters and technical specialists for large, complex jobs.<\/span><\/p>\nAFM\u2019s team of professionals is focused on meeting client needs by providing a complete range of forestry services including land and wildlife management, land sale and acquisition services, forest inventory and design, growth and yield modeling, cash flow projections, environmental and farmland services, appraisal, forest resource data management and harvest scheduling.<\/span><\/p>\nAs an Inventory Analyst you will be responsible for performing a variety of data management duties including analysis and reporting of resource information across AFM data management contracts while maintaining and updating database information systems using Forest Projection and Planning System (FPS) software, and related systems, supporting land management information services offered by AFM in the West.<\/span><\/p>\n\u00a0<\/p>\n
Job Functions and Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n- Annual and periodic updates using FPS forest inventory software and related systems<\/span><\/li>\n
- Technical analysis of forest resource information related to forest inventory<\/span><\/li>\n
- Carbon project design assistance and reporting<\/span><\/li>\n
- Forest inventory quality control and monitoring systems (cutout analysis)<\/span><\/li>\n
- Growth and yield, inventory data reporting to clients and staff<\/span><\/li>\n
- Design and administer field inventory cruising using inventory data collection systems<\/span><\/li>\n
- Maintain data collection software, procedures, and equipment<\/span><\/li>\n
- Oversee contract administration and check cruisers for field projects<\/span><\/li>\n
- Acquisition\/Disposition support – Inventory Validation, growth & yield modeling, inventory verification cruise design, and client reporting<\/span><\/li>\n
- Budgeting for assigned responsibilities<\/span><\/li>\n
- Other tasks as assigned by the District and Region Managers<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

Qualifications:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n- Minimum 5 years of related experience<\/span><\/li>\n
- Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Forestry or equivalent<\/span><\/li>\n
- Ability to explain technical analysis and interpret results from programs through verbal and written communications<\/span><\/li>\n
- Experience with a range of forest inventory systems, inventory analysis and statistics<\/span><\/li>\n
- Ability to manage multiple projects under strict time constraints<\/span><\/li>\n
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast paced work environment<\/span><\/li>\n
- Proficiency in basic computer programs such as MS Word, Excel and Access<\/span><\/li>\n
- Ability to work and communicate effectively within a team environment<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

While our strong preference is for the candidate to be based near and able to commute to our Kirkland, WA office, we are open to remote arrangements for candidates who can commute to another American Forest Management office within the Pacific Northwest region.<\/span><\/p>\n\u00a0<\/p>\n
Salary and Benefits<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n- Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. Range $75,000 to $105,000<\/span><\/li>\n
