It is in your best interest to submit materials as soon as possible.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Timber sale planning, design, and layout, including stream type determination, identification of potentially sensitive areas, boundary location and marking, reserve and legacy tree identification and marking, identifying appropriate harvest systems, and locating roads to access landing locations.<\/li>\n<li>Timber sale design that provides appropriate resource protection identified in DNR policies, procedures, and forest practices requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Communication and consultation with the public, specialists, and external partners.<\/li>\n<li>Harvest plan development that ensures economic and operational viability.<\/li>\n<li>Timber sale document preparation, including SEPA, Forest Practices applications, Silvicultural prescriptions, and GIS maps.<\/li>\n<li>Timber sale contract development, compliance, and closeout.<\/li>\n<li>Timber cruising to evaluate current and planned harvest areas.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This may be filled as an in-training position.\u00a0This is designated as a 12-24-month training plan. If you complete all elements of the training steps in a shorter amount of time, we may waive the remainder of the time required.
