Tuesdays, May 27 & June 3, 6-8:30PM<\/h1>\n

Please join us for\u00a0<\/span>one or both<\/em>\u00a0of our upcoming Hedgerow Project Success Tours at\u00a0Helsing Junction Farms<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Oyster Bay Farm<\/strong>. These two demonstration hedgerow projects were installed during the 2023-24 planting season to protect water quality & enhance wildlife habitat at local farms, while providing\u00a0multiple\u00a0<\/strong>additional benefits to enhance agricultural production.<\/p>\n

Each of these projects is\u00a0unique<\/strong>, with differing goals, site conditions, and outcomes.\u00a0Attending both tours will provide participants with the best opportunity<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0to see different hedgerow styles, learn about particular challenges, and celebrate the successes of each individual project.<\/p>\n

These tours are co-sponsored by the partnership of\u00a0Thurston Conservation District, Native Plant Salvage Foundation, WSU Extension, & the farmers, with funding support provided by the Sustainable Farms & Fields Program of the Washington State Conservation Commission and Thurston County\u2019s water resources program.<\/p>\n
