Connecting community members with their local watersheds? Collaborating with local educators, school districts, non-profits, and tribes to provide engaging and fun education experiences? If so, you should consider applying to become South Sound GREEN\u2019s Puget Sound Water Quality Educator! In this role, you will have the opportunity to teach thousands of Thurston County students about water quality, watershed conservation, salmon ecology, tree planting, marine science, and more! Located in South Puget Sound, you will educate 3rd-12th grade students in natural areas, where your \u201cclassroom\u201d could be riparian forests, salmon spawning creeks, or marine intertidal zones depending on the day. South Sound GREEN is hosted within the Thurston Conservation District and has been providing hands-on field opportunities for students and teachers for over 30 years.<\/p>\n<p>This is a 10.5 month position beginning in September 2025, hosted through Washington Service Corps.
