Work sites are exposed to the elements meaning work will be conducted in rain, wind, and cold conditions.<\/li>\n<li>Regularly transport 5-gallon buckets of water in slippery conditions and uneven terrain and wear agency-provided PFD and other personal protective equipment as necessary.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Schedule:\u00a0<\/strong>40 hours a week, may require 7 days per week, including work on holidays and occasional night work.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Travel Requirements:\u00a0<\/strong>Daily travel throughout Skagit River basin and occasional travel to Mill Creek or Olympia.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tools and Equipment:\u00a0<\/strong>Coded Wire Tag (CWT) machine, scissors, scalpel, nets, rake, shovel, laptop computer, various personal protective equipment.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Customer Interactions:\u00a0<\/strong>Interacts with the\u00a0public, landowners, employees from other organizations and entities.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Required Qualifications:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Option 1:\u00a0<\/strong>Graduation from high school or GED, including one (1) year of high school science\u00a0<strong>and<\/strong>\u00a0two (2) years of experience as a Scientific Technician 1.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Option 2:\u00a0<\/strong>Graduation from high school or GED including one (1) year of high school science\u00a0<strong>and<\/strong>\u00a0two (2) years of laboratory or field experience as an assistant to a biologist, chemist, or zoologist.<\/p>\n<strong>Please Note:\u00a0<\/strong>College course work involving major study in biology, zoology, fisheries, chemistry, natural sciences, or closely allied field will substitute, year for year, for experience, provided the course work includes at least six (6) semester or nine (9) quarter hours of natural science classes.\u00a0<br \/><br \/>\n<p><strong>Certifications\/Licenses:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><br \/>\u00a0Valid Driver\u2019s License<\/p>\n<p><strong>Special Requirements\/Conditions of Employment:<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>Successful completion of agency training and\/or certification for assigned watercraft is dependent on supervisory direction, position need, and training availability.
