This position also provides expert professional consultative advice and services relating to complex land survey problems and serves as an expert witness for court cases involving boundary lawsuits.\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/dd>\n<dt>\n<h2>Duties<\/h2>\n<\/dt>\n<dd>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>This position is an expert on General Land Office (GLO) retracement, subdivision of sections, aquatic land boundaries, legal descriptions, and GIS Cadastre layer.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>As chief of parties, this position supervises, schedules, and coordinates land survey field crews for DNR; land survey field crews are comprised of professional land surveyors and survey technicians providing land surveying and geospatial services within the agency.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>This position also provides expert professional consultative advice and services relating to complex land survey problems and serves as an expert witness for court cases involving boundary lawsuits.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/dd>\n<dt>\n<h2>Qualifications<\/h2>\n<\/dt>\n<dd>\n<p><strong>Required Qualifications:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Registration as a professional land surveyor by the Washington State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors\u00a0<br id=\"isPasted\" \/>(BRPELS).<\/li>\n<li>Five years of land boundary surveying experience after registration as a Professional Land Surveyor, three years of which must be in BLM\/General Land Office retracement and re-establishment land survey work.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with land surveying and mapping principles, procedures and practices, statutes, court decisions, and other laws pertaining to locating and dividing land; professional standards of land surveying, trigonometry, mapping, and drafting.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Experience supervising and training personnel to accomplish the highest order of land survey work, and exercise sound Independent judgment in solution of difficult land surveying problems.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Experience in AutoCAD and surveying software experience.
