We are seeking volunteers for an amphibian monitoring project through Skagit Land Trust and the Woodland Park Zoo<\/span><\/p>\n Must be able to:<\/p>\n – Travel to a wetland in Skagit County once a month All training and equipment will be provided by the WPZ and Skagit Land Trust. Online training begins soon, and monitoring starts at the end of January and continues through summer.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n There is no formal application process since it is a volunteer run program, however, there is a training that volunteers go through. – Join a team (of 3 to 6 people) to monitor one wetland\/pond once a month for six to seven months.
– Spend approximately a half to a full day in the field each month plus data entry time
– Hike to the predetermined site and wade into water (up to 3 feet deep)
– Use smart phone to enter data while surveying
– Enter data monthly using an online form and the iNaturalist website<\/p>\n
