Astor conducts research and provides personnel support services to government and industry clients for marine fisheries and protected species.<\/p>\n<p><strong>DUTIES:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support the NMFS Alaska Region with ongoing ESA consultation needs.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct analyses and research to enable consultation under Section 7 of the ESA.<\/li>\n<li>Review action agency documents and provide technical assistance to Federal action agencies as part of ESA section 7 consultations.<\/li>\n<li>Critically analyze scientific literature, agency documents, and other applicable information to assess impacts of activities on protected species and develop\/evaluate mitigation and monitoring to support agency findings under the ESA.<\/li>\n<li>Perform record-keeping and other documentation tasks to ensure compliance with the ESA and other applicable statutes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Start Date:<\/strong>\u00a0ASAP<\/p>\n<p><strong>Location:<\/strong>\u00a0Telecommute, work may be performed offsite.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Salary and Benefits<\/strong>: These are full-time positions with a generous benefit package. Salary: $33.00 to $37.00 per hour.<\/p>\n<p><strong>REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant field and 7 years of relevant experience.
