The State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) and the nine (9) Regional Water Quality Control Boards (RWQCB) (collectively the Water Boards) work to preserve, enhance, and restore the quality of California\u2019s water resources and drinking water for the protection of the environment, public health, and all beneficial uses, and to ensure proper water resource allocation and efficient use, for the benefit of present and future generations.<\/p>\n

Statement of Qualifications<\/span><\/h3>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

A Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) must be submitted along with the State Application and serves as documentation of candidate\u2019s ability to present information clearly and concisely in writing. It should be typed, no more than\u00a0two (2) pages\u00a0in length, using\u00a012 point Arial font, and normal margins.<\/p>\n

<\/a>Explain your experience and\/or knowledge of the following:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Stream and other aquatic systems and processes, including hydrologic, geomorphic, geologic, and biological.<\/li>\n
  2. Stream and wetland compensatory mitigation and restoration techniques.<\/li>\n
  3. Environmental scientific investigations, research, surveys, and evaluations related to aquatic systems.<\/li>\n
  4. The local, state, and federal aquatic resource permitting processes in California including Porter-Cologne Water Quality Control Act and Clean Water Act Section 401\/404.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Desirable Qualifications<\/h3>\n
    In addition to evaluating each candidate’s relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:<\/div>\n

    1. <\/a>Experience working with the public.<\/li>\n
    2. Water\/Water Quality related knowledge and\/or training.<\/li>\n
    3. Experience interpreting water laws, rules and regulations.<\/li>\n
    4. Experience using scientific analytical methods.<\/li>\n
    5. Leadership Experience.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n
