Are you passionate about protecting natural resources?\u00a0<\/strong>Washington State Parks is seeking a subject matter expert to manage stewardship planning and implementation in northwest Washington. Tasks typically involve integrating information from a variety of fields, including natural resources management, cultural resources, environmental laws, and agency policies, to develop and implement plans that address complex natural resource issues.<\/div>\n

The ideal candidate has a heart for public service. They will be an excellent relationship builder and collaborator, have analytical, critical thinking, program development, with professional communication skills. In addition, ideal candidates should have: innate work ethic and ability to work independently, and complete projects on schedule and within budget. They will be a curious and hard-working self-starter, who likes variety in their work and appreciates having fun while doing their job.<\/div>\n

This position is located at the Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission office in Burlington, WA. Typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. The position is 60-80% in office and 40-20% field work \/outdoors, sometimes in inclement weather. Field work may include walking through natural areas without trails. Travel is required with weekly travel to job sites, some overnight and occasional out of state travel.\u00a0<\/div>\n

Under the administrative supervision of the Natural Resources Program Manager, this position manages stewardship planning and implementation in northwest Washington. The position works closely with agency Capital and Operations staff to ensure program implementation and compliance with agency policy and procedure through planning, technical consultation, and review.\u00a0<\/p>\n
