Job Summary:\u00a0The project\u00a0ecologist will\u00a0oversee\u00a0research, analyze ecological data, and develop strategies and recommendations for conservation\u00a0and\u00a0restoration projects. \u00a0The ideal candidate will be able to\u00a0partner with project managers to\u00a0provide support and assistance\u00a0with\u00a0consulting services for a broad array of projects, clients, and stakeholders.\u00a0This position will conduct work both outdoors and in an office setting. \u00a0This position will report to the Senior Project Manager.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
Location:\u00a0Hillsboro, Oregon. Project sites across the Pacific Northwest.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Transportation:\u00a0Provide own transportation to work sites, Hillsboro office, or other planned locations.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
Compensation & Benefits:\u00a0$55,000 – $65,000 per year\u00a0starting, DOE.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Paid time off, sick leave, medical and dental insurance, monthly phone stipend or company issued cellphone, gas stipend, life insurance, retirement. \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
Essential Duties\/Responsibilities:\u00a0<\/p>\n
\n- Oversee\u00a0<\/span>field studies to collect data on ecosystems, species populations, and environmental conditions.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Oversee<\/span>\u00a0site visits, field observations, and field data collection or assignments.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
- Analyze ecological data using statistical software and modelling techniques.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
- Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings to diverse audiences<\/span>. \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of conservati<\/span>on and restoration projects<\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
- Partners with project managers to provide consultations and proposals to clients.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
- Act as a liaison between company, customers, field\u00a0<\/span>staff<\/span>, and vendors, and address any questions, concerns, or complaints throughout project<\/span>s<\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
- Deliver and\u00a0<\/span>maintain<\/span>\u00a0all documented ACFM standards of success in safety, quality, and output, on all projects.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n

- Valid driver\u2019s license.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, ArcGIS, and related project management software.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Education and Experience:\u00a0<\/p>\n
\n- Bachelor\u2019s degree in Environmental Science<\/span>, Ecology, Natural Resource Management, or a related field (<\/span>Master\u2019s<\/span>\u00a0preferred).\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
- Proficiency<\/span>\u00a0in statistical software (e.g., R, Python,\u00a0<\/span>ArcGIS, AutoCAD<\/span>)<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
- Previous<\/span>\u00a0background experience in project management, specifically in ecological restoration or related environmental projects.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
- Strong knowledge of ecological principles, restoration techniques, and relevant regulations.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
- 2+ years of relevant field work experience\u00a0<\/span>required<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

\n- Ability, motivation, and endurance for eight to ten hours of productive manual labor<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
- Ability to work outdoors across uneven terrain during inclement weather<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
- Ability to safely lift 60 lbs.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
