This is a full-time, union represented position, based out of South Bend.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Typical Duties and Responsibilities:<\/h2>\n<p>Interprets and enforces regulations relating to: Food Program, Solid Waste Program, Water Program, School Program, On-Site Septic Program, and other areas related to Environmental Health. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: conducting and documenting field inspections; investigating complaints; coordinating enforcement and investigative action with all applicable agencies; public education programs; plan review; other duties as assigned.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Minimum Qualifications:<\/h2>\n<p>Bachelor of Science Degree involving major study in biological science, microbiology, environmental health, or other closely related science. Must obtain a Registered Sanitarian\u2019s license with the Washington State Board of Registered Sanitarians and a completed certificate within 18 months of hire.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Benefits:<\/h2>\n<p>Employees (and their families) are covered by medical, dental, vision and basic life insurance. Employees are able to enroll in a deferred compensation plan as well as the Washington State Department of Retirement Systems.
