The Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has an exciting opportunity within our Northeast Region. \u00a0Are you someone who loves the outdoors, and is passionate about becoming a natural resource forester working for Washington State? If you love working in the outdoors, appreciate a remote natural environment, enjoy working with a professional staff, and have good practical forestry skills with a proven ability to work as part of a team, then this is the job for you.

We are looking for a Timber Sale Forester\u00a0(Natural Resources Specialist 1 or 2)<\/strong>\u00a0to join our team, this position will be located out of our Loomis, WA Work Center. \u00a0This position performs professional-level forest management and timber sale layout\/design under the direction of the Highlands Timber Sale Unit Forester. This position works independently and regularly interacts with Foresters, Forest Engineers, other Natural Resource Professionals, other agency representatives, business partners, and the general public. \u00a0

Responsibilities will include a combination of all timber sale-related duties including timber sale layout\/design, contract development\/administration, and forest surveys. Occasional fire suppression duties may be available on a voluntary basis.
