The position serves the Climate Action and Resilience special project. This project position is funded for 3 years by the\u00a0Environmental Protection Agency\u2019s (EPA)\u00a0Recycling Education and Outreach grant.\u00a0The position reports to the\u00a0Communications and\u00a0Engagement\u00a0Team\u00a0Lead and collaborates with the\u00a0CAP\u00a0support position.\u00a0\u00a0<br \/><br \/>The\u00a0City\u00a0is seeking an\u00a0innovative\u00a0CAP\u00a0coordinator\u00a0to\u00a0provide\u00a0innovative\u00a0trainings on waste reduction, recycling, and food recovery in\u00a0multiple\u00a0languages\u00a0to both multifamily and\u00a0single-family\u00a0residents.\u00a0The\u00a0trainings\u00a0inspire ambassadors to use word-of-mouth as an effective educational tool.\u00a0The program uses a train-the-trainer model in which some community\u00a0members\u00a0lead their own trainings of\u00a0additional\u00a0ambassadors.\u00a0\u00a0<br \/><br \/>Under the direction of the Communication and Engagement\u00a0Team\u00a0Lead, the\u00a0CAP\u00a0Coordinator\u00a0will\u00a0be responsible for\u00a0managing the\u00a0nationally award-winning\u00a0Environmental Services\u00a0CAP\u00a0including working with partner\u00a0community-based\u00a0organizations, arranging trainings, and supporting ambassadors.
