As a vital member, you&#8217;ll engage in fieldwork either independently or collaboratively to conduct inventories and implement treatments. This role entails utilizing herbicide application techniques alongside manual removal methods. Beyond this, responsibilities include mapping utilizing GPS technology, data entry, and documentation of invasive plant populations and treatment progress. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for plant identification, proficiency in GPS usage and\/or portable data recorders, adeptness in operating 4-wheel drive vehicles safely, and proficient map and off-trail navigation skills. Familiarity with the local terrain and waterways is highly advantageous for this rewarding role.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Education\/Training<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Must be 18 years or older. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); prior experience and\/or training preferred. Must be a U.S. Citizen; must obtain a Washington State Public Pesticide Operator license within thirty (30) days of hire<br \/>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Experience<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><br \/>Familiarity with Olympic National Forest (in both Jefferson and Clallam Counties), and local rivers is highly desirable.
