The vitality and abundance of our state\u2019s wild salmon and steelhead populations is important to WDFW\u2019s conservation mission and part of the essential work our Scientific Technicians do to support this.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Picture yourself<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0working at hatchery facilities and sampling Chinook, coho, sockeye, chum, pink salmon, and steelhead.<\/p>\n

With your insight and experience<\/em><\/strong>, you will play a crucial role in assessing how ESA (endangered species act) listed or threatened salmonid species are handled by WDFW to help us achieve our program, state, and federal permit requirements.<\/p>\n

The ideal applicant<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0is confident collecting, organizing, and interpreting biological data of salmonids and steelhead and have strong computer skills.<\/p>\n

We are seeking a candidate<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0to assist with pre-release length and weight sampling of juvenile salmonids, and provide staff support to ensure all sampling is conducted according to established protocols.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
