PIT tag juvenile salmonids.<\/li>\n<li>Raft up to 10 miles per day in winter months (November \u2013 March) towing an antenna attached to a 13 ft. pontoon boat to track PIT tagged salmonids.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in creel surveys. Conduct surveys on rivers and lakes to gather information on angler usage and harvest.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>WORKING CONDITIONS:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Work Setting, including hazards:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Work at all hours in inclement weather; hiking up to six (6) miles on rugged uneven terrain in remote locations independently; lifting up to 75 lbs. (5-gal buckets of water and fish and holding tanks).\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Use of standard chemicals for fish anesthesia (AQUI-S and MS-222) and sterilization chemicals (alcohol) is required.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Must be able to negotiate water in emergency situations.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Must be able to regularly endure long hours of adverse weather and wet conditions with minimal shelter.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Must safely and efficiently hike and\/or raft four to ten miles of rugged, low-order river terrain daily and be comfortable working regularly in a swift, whitewater river environment.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Schedule:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The work schedule is typically 40 hours per week, but days worked will vary by week. \u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Workdays will range from 8 hours to 12 hours, depending on workload. \u00a0<\/li>\n<li>During peak work periods, working nights, weekends, and holidays may be required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Travel Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Travel is required to field locations throughout the watershed to accomplish project duties. \u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Occasional travel may be required to attend meetings, training, or gather supplies from distant locations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Tools and Equipment:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>PIT tagging gear, rotary-screw traps, electrofishing equipment, vehicles, trailers, waders, boots, pontoon boats, pumps, generators and various power and hand tools, computers, GPS units, CWT wands, safety equipment (e.g., PFDs, gloves).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Customer Interactions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Frequent interaction with the public and recreational anglers during creel surveys.
