To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.\u00a0 The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and\/or ability required.<\/span><\/p>\nMinimum Education, Experience and Skills<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n- A\u00a0Bachelor\u2019s degree nonprofit management, business, or related field.<\/span><\/li>\n
- Minimum of 2-4 years in prospect research, prospect management, or a related field (market research, library science, etc.)<\/span><\/li>\n
- Excellent written and oral communication skills (formal and informal)<\/span><\/li>\n
- Knowledge of ethics statements by the Association of Professional Researchers for Advancement and other related associations<\/span><\/li>\n
- Demonstrated ability to conduct comprehensive research and produce in-depth, accurate prospect profiles and analysis.<\/span><\/li>\n
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with sensitive information.<\/span><\/li>\n
- Ability to prioritize tasks, handle multiple assignments, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining strict attention to detail<\/span><\/li>\n
- Familiarity with Microsoft Suite, including superior Excel skills.<\/span><\/li>\n
- Experience with online data systems.<\/span><\/li>\n
- Previous experience using donor bases is preferred.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Language Skills:<\/u>\u00a0 Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.\u00a0 Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from group of managers, customers, and the general public.<\/span><\/p>\nMath Skills:<\/u>\u00a0Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages.\u00a0 Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.<\/span><\/p>\nReasoning Ability:\u00a0\u00a0<\/u>Define problems, collect, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Distinguishes between relevant and irrelevant information to make logical decisions. Provides solutions to individuals and company problems. Ability to organize and prioritize tasks.<\/span><\/p>\nComputer Skills:<\/u>\u00a0Proficiency with computer usage especially Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
